RGU Educational Conference “Odesa ID”

Категорія : News

A large-scale All-Ukrainian educational conference “Odesa ID,” organized by the All-Ukrainian Association of School Heads “Revival of Ukrainian Gymnasiums” (RGU), took place in Odesa at the base of municipal gymnasiums. The event brought together leading educators, school principals, scientists, and cultural figures from various regions of Ukraine to discuss the most crucial challenge of our time — systematic work with the national and civic identity of youth through the tools of education and culture.

The conference became part of a major city initiative, “Odesa ID: Reboot,” which transitions from the logic of “proving” the city’s Ukrainian roots to the logic of self-evidence. The key speakers of the event were the leaders of VGU, as well as the laureate of the “People of Business” competition, Tetiana Zhornytska, who emphasized the importance of integrating spiritual, moral, and patriotic components into the daily educational process.

The program of the event spanned several strategic panels, during which participants sought answers to current pressing questions:

Cultural code in education: integrating the history of regional identity into the nationwide context;

Media literacy lessons: protecting students from information manipulation and hostile narratives;

Psychological resilience: creating a safe and supportive environment in educational institutions during times of change.

Educators paid special attention to the youth environment, as it is exactly where the future values of Ukrainian society are formed. Participants got acquainted with the practical tools of the “Odesa ID” project, including interactive maps for schools and new curated routes that highlight Ukrainian history and prominent places of remembrance.

From March 21 to March 30, 2026, the XXVI Educational Tour took place, organized with the support of international partners — the Association of Gymnasium Principals of Germany and the Netherlands, Ukrainian communities, and Sunday schools. The theme of this year’s event was “New Innovative Educational Projects and Startups in the Secondary Education System of Germany and the Netherlands.”

An essential element of the visit was the direct immersion into the educational environment: guided tours of educational institutions, and engaging discussions with students and teachers who are already actively implementing innovative approaches in their daily activities.

XIV Winter Forum “Truskavets – 2026”

Категорія : News

On January 30, 2026, the XIV Winter Forum “Truskavets – 2026” organized by the RGU successfully concluded. Five days of ideas, practical insights, professional dialogue, and genuine educational unity.

🔹 The final chord of the forum was the speech by the VGU President, who summarized the key results of our work, outlined new plans and development perspectives, and announced an educational European tour in March — as the next step towards international cooperation and exchange of experience.

It was a speech about moving forward, strategic vision, education without borders, and responsibility for the future of the Ukrainian school.

🎓 The concluding part featured the official award ceremony of certificates to the forum participants, presented by the VGU President Yaroslav Turianskyi together with Vice President Tania Zhornytska.

These certificates are not just documents. They represent recognition of active participation, openness to change, readiness to learn, share, and implement new ideas.

✨ The “Truskavets – 2026” Forum has proven once again that:

  • education is a team,
  • it is a system,
  • it is a shared path,
  • where experience, ideas, and people deliver results.

Moving forward — to new meetings, projects, and European horizons 🇺🇦🇪🇺
